In Loving Memory of Charles “CO” Smith
IBEW Local 77 is saddened at the loss of Charles “CO” Smith, a beloved representative of IBEW Local 77 who dedicated a significant portion of his career to serving our union family. Over many decades, CO was the unwavering voice and advocate for Puget Sound Energy workers, steadfastly guarding their rights, safety, and dignity on the job.
A proud Journeyman Lineman and lifelong trade unionist, CO served more than 45 years in the IBEW. His calm wisdom, deep knowledge, and sense of humor made him a trusted leader and mentor. He was a steady hand during negotiations, a resolute advocate in times of challenge, and a supportive brother. He was also a die hard Mariner's fan.
To CO’s family and loved ones, we extend our deepest condolences. While we grieve this loss together, we also celebrate a life lived in service—full of purpose, integrity, and respect. We know CO is at peace, resting alongside our brothers and sisters who went before him.
Rest in power, Brother Charles “CO” Smith. You will be forever remembered.
In Solidarity,
IBEW Local 77
