Framatome Negotiations

    • The parties held their first bargaining session on October 23rd, 2025. During this meeting, discussion focused on establishing ground rules that will guide negotiations and help ensure a productive, respectful, and efficient bargaining process. These ground rules are intended to create a shared framework for collaboration and problem-solving as both parties work toward a fair and sustainable agreement.

    • In addition to these discussions, the parties exchanged a small number of initial proposals to begin outlining key areas of interest for the agreement.

    • Negotiations continued over two days in November.

    • On November 18, the parties reviewed and refined the draft ground rules document and the Union introduced three proposals addressing foundational topics such as Non-Discrimination and Probationary Periods.

    • On November 19, discussions continued regarding the ground rules and additional proposals and counterproposals were exchanged. Topics discussed during these sessions included labor-management meetings, benefits programs, and shop steward representation.

    • These conversations helped both parties begin identifying areas of shared interest and topics that will require additional discussion as negotiations continue.

    • Negotiations resumed in December, with the parties continuing discussions on previously introduced topics while also introducing several new subjects for consideration. These included safety and health matters, on-site visitation, and union bulletin boards.

    • These discussions are part of the ongoing process of developing a comprehensive agreement that addresses workplace expectations and communication between employees and management.

    • On January 23, the parties reached agreement on a Side Letter of Agreement that allows the annual PDA process to continue as it has historically been administered.

    • Members who would like to review the Side Letter may contact a member of the negotiations committee.

  • This meeting was relatively short.  The Union offered several proposals for Management’s consideration based on the other onsite contracts.  After these proposals were passed and explained, Management worked on reviewing the proposals and the committee members were released back to their jobs.  The Union looks forward to a robust conversation on these items at our next meeting scheduled for April 16, 2026.  Currently, this is the only date scheduled for April as IBEW, Local 77 works to complete the TCCA contract in the month of April.  Once that has been completed, the parties will work exclusively on the LOQ contract.

  • The parties met on Thursday, April 16 to exchange multiple counterproposals. As a result, the parties reached seven (7) tentative agreements on various contract articles, including Grievance and Arbitration Procedures, Union Leave Reimbursement, No Strike/No Lockout, Conformance with State and Federal Law, Health and Safety, and Job Posting and Internal Applicant Procedures.

The parties also made progress on Monitoring and Use of Data, Probationary and Trial Periods, Union Bulletin Boards, Stewards, and Labor-Management Meetings.

The parties agreed that upcoming discussions will focus on employee schedules and hours of work.

Upcoming Bargaining Dates

The next scheduled bargaining session is May 29, 2026.

Scheduling may be influenced by negotiations occurring for the TCCA agreement, which recently reached expiration on March 31, 2026.

The negotiations committee will continue providing updates as discussions progress.
