IBEW Local 77 Powers Up Local Youth Sports with Donation to Boundary County Little League

BONNERS FERRY, Idaho — Community support for local youth sports received a major boost this week as the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 77 presented a donation to the Boundary County Little League.

The presentation took place locally, where Bryan Short, representing IBEW Local 77, officially handed over the contribution to Boundary County Little League President Matt Pluid.

The donation will go directly toward supporting operational costs, equipment updates, field maintenance, and registration subsidies for young athletes across Boundary County.

"Local organizations like IBEW Local 77 play a vital role in keeping youth sports accessible and thriving in our community," said President Matt Pluid. "Generous support from community partners ensures our kids have safe equipment, well-maintained fields, and the opportunity to build teamwork and confidence through baseball and softball."

IBEW Local 77, which represents electrical and gas utility workers across the region, has a long tradition of investing back into the towns where its members live and work.

Boundary County Little League serves hundreds of children each spring and summer across various age divisions, relying heavily on community sponsorships, volunteer coaches, and regional business contributions to keep participation fees affordable for local families.
